The Brazilian energy sector is attracting new global players, and Next Wave is ready to make its mark. During his first visit to Brazil, CEO Nader Yarpezeshkan shared with EnergyChannel the company’s strategy to expand operations in the country, bringing advanced monitoring hardware and data-driven management platforms to the solar industry.
Founded by developers and O&M experts with more than 15 years of experience in the U.S. market, Next Wave was born out of a clear dissatisfaction with existing monitoring tools. “We were never satisfied with simply gathering data. Our goal has always been to transform that data into actionable insights, making operators’ jobs easier and more effective,” Yarpezeshkan explained.
The company already manages over 1 GW of installed capacity in the U.S. and is rapidly expanding across Asia-Pacific. Brazil, currently ranked among the world’s top six solar markets, is now a central focus of its international growth plan.

Local presence and Brazilian manufacturing
Yarpezeshkan confirmed that Next Wave is already working on localizing its products to be manufactured and configured in Brazil. This move is designed to streamline deployment, reduce costs, and adapt to local technical requirements.
“Our system is technology-agnostic, working with any inverter brand. Beyond solar, our roadmap includes energy storage, EV charging, and comprehensive building energy management systems that integrate gas, water, and electricity,” said the CEO.
Market entry strategy: pilots and partnerships
The company plans to enter Brazil through pilot projects, offering local developers and operators the chance to test the platform in real-world conditions. “We are confident in our technology and open to deploying pilots, providing technical training, and growing through long-term partnerships,” Yarpezeshkan noted.
With a São Paulo office in the works, Next Wave aims to establish a strong operational base in the country.
“Brazil has one of the most technically skilled solar O&M markets in the world. That makes our value proposition much easier to communicate—professionals here already understand the challenges and immediately see the benefits of our solution,” he added.
Next Wave’s expansion underscores a long-term commitment to Brazil, not only in the solar sector but also in the broader field of integrated energy management.
