New “dual-channel solar rail” is first major accessory to H.F.S.M.
LAS VEGAS, NV – September 8, 2025 At RE+ exhibition booth V2613, Martin Solar unveils the new Dual-Channel Solar Rail. Like the award-winning Hidden-Fastener Solar Mount before it (that avoids penetrating rooftop shingles) Martin Solar's new rail is the epitome of “domestic”, being entirely made in America from American aluminum for 100% FEOC compliance.

Continuing innovation, installers are offered unprecedented ease in roof-top wire management, thanks to (patent pending) Dual-Channel Solar Rail's unique “wire trough.”
The single-piece extrusion is able to accommodate up to four of AP System's three-phase trunk cables, or a plethora of Enphase Q-Cables. Most importantly, the dual-channel design maintains wires separately from all other accessory attachments, facilitating maintenance and access to PV cables without even requiring removal of solar modules mounted on top.
“Hidden-Fastener Solar Mount (HFSM) was the beginning of our commitment to provide better long-term solutions to customers within our own Southern Illinoisan community, offering lifetime leak-free guarantees, thanks to the hole-less design.

Of course, we have had other ideas too, and thanks to the Department of Energy, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, American-Made Solar Prize Round 8, and our growing team at Martin Solar, we were able to quickly expand our intellectual property portfolio, and put into production an All-American solar rail that will easily keep wires from touching roofs, for life. Installers know that managing wires on roofs can be a major pain, but it no longer needs to be! While we intend to utilize Dual-Channel Solar Rail (DCSR) with our own Hidden-Fastener Solar Mount, we have chosen to maintain open architecture for our products, in order that installers can pick and choose according to their own preferences. This means that HFSM is compatible with practically all common industry solar rails, and DCSR is likewise compatible with practically all standard-sized panel clamps and solar mounts,” said Preston Nelson, Director of Martin Solar.
“What's next?” Nelson continued, “A proprietary panel clamp would complete the trifecta, and offer never-before-seen utility from a clamp, but we are also working on a critter guard. In the past, we always assumed that we would stick to our expertise in rooftop solar, but there is so much demand, and we have fascinating conceptual improvements for ground-mounted solar, too. Stay tuned for more of our All-American innovations!”
Via its original Hidden-Fastener Solar Mount, Martin Solar is a current semi-finalist in the U.S. Department of Energy's American-Made Solar Prize Round 8, which is intended to jump-start the commercialization of U.S.-based solar innovations via financial incentives and access to the American-Made Network of laboratories, incubators, investors, and other support facilities.
Martin Solar's location at RE+ is in the lower level 1 of the Venetian Expo, within the American-Made subsection of the Innovation Zone, booth V2613.
RE+ exhibition is open:
Tuesday, Sept. 9th from 10am to 6pm.
Wednesday, Sept. 10th from 9am to 6pm.
Thursday, Sept. 11th from 9am to 2pm.
