Huasun Secures Bid to Supply 1 GW N-type HJT Modules for Power China’s Offshore PV Projects

Huasun Energy has successfully secured the bid for the first batch of n-type heterojunction (HJT) solar module procurement for solar projects by Power Construction Corporation of China (Power China), encompassing a total supply of 1 GW across Sections 1 and 2. This accomplishment underscores Huasun's leadership in offshore photovoltaic (PV) technology and HJT systems, establishing a robust foundation for its expansion into the offshore PV market.

With extensive expertise in high-efficiency n-type HJT technology and superior product performance, Huasun distinguished itself from numerous competitors to win this significant contract. This victory further solidifies Huasun's leading position within the large-scale PV bidding market in China.

The project will be executed in the marine area of Aoshan Bay, located in the Jimo District of Qingdao, a costal city in Shandong Province, China. The region's predominantly soft soil sets stricter requirements for enhanced water resistance, corrosion resistance, durability, and stability of the solar modules.

Huasun's G12-132 V-Ocean HJT solar module is recognized as China's first certified module specifically designed for offshore PV applications. For this bid, Huasun proposed a module power output of 720W, demonstrating its confidence in effectively reducing balance of system (BOS) investment costs. In addition, the innovative application of butyl adhesive at the module edges and junction box significantly enhances waterproofing, resistance to ultraviolet-induced degradation (UVID), and salt mist corrosion, ensuring reliable and efficient long-term power generation in challenging marine environments.

Winning the 1 GW bid of offshore HJT project is not only a recognition of Huasun's HJT technical strength and product reliability, but also paves the way for further HJT applications in offshore photovoltaic scenarios. Huasun is committed to rigorous product quality monitoring and timely delivery to ensure the successful execution of the Qingdao Jimo project. Additionally, Huasun will continue to advance R&D in HJT technology, exploring more clean energy applications to contribute to the achievement of net-zero objectives through high-efficiency and high-quality products and services, thereby supporting the development of the clean energy industry.
