"Amphibious" HJT: 13.6 MW of Huasun Solar Panels Energize Thailand

Huasun Energy has reached another significant milestone in Southeast Asia with the successful grid connection of a 13.6 MW heterojunction (HJT) solar project supplied to Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Co., Ltd. (STA)—a leading rubber manufacturer in Thailand. The project utilizes Huasun's Himalaya G12-132 HJT modules in a unique "amphibious" deployment model, combining both ground-mounted and floating installations to create a diversified clean energy matrix across multiple regions in Thailand. Under the blazing Thai sun, “Huasun Blue” is now continuously delivering green electricity to STA's production operations.

Thailand, as one of Southeast Asia's key economies, benefits from exceptional solar resources, with many areas receiving over 2,000 hours of sunlight annually. In recent years, the Thai government has introduced a series of supportive policies—including tax incentives and electricity subsidies—to promote solar energy adoption and accelerate the transition toward renewable power. Recognizing this opportunity, STA integrated Huasun's high-efficiency HJT modules to optimize its energy mix, reduce production costs, and advance its sustainability goals.

With a total installed capacity of 13.6 MW, the project is expected to generate approximately 19.37 million kWh of electricity annually. This translates to an annual reduction of 2,381 tons of standard coal consumption and 19,313 tons of CO2 emissions, significantly decreasing STA's dependence on conventional energy sources and contributing to Thailand's renewable energy transition.

Huasun's HJT modules have proven particularly well-suited to Thailand's hot and humid climate. With an industry-leading temperature coefficient of -0.24%/℃, the modules deliver stable, high-efficiency performance even under extreme temperatures. An advanced butyl encapsulation process ensures excellent moisture resistance—essential for floating solar arrays—while Huasun's proprietary light-conversion film transforms harmful UV rays into beneficial blue light, enhancing energy conversion efficiency and extending module lifespan. Together, these innovations offer a robust and reliable solution for photovoltaic deployment in tropical environments.

As a global leader in heterojunction technology, Huasun's Himalaya G12 series boasts a record mass-production cell efficiency of 26.5% and peak module power output exceeding 768.938 W, continuing to set benchmarks across core performance metrics. Supported by a vertically integrated production chain—from ingots to wafers, cells, and modules—Huasun currently operates 20 GW of production capacity with more than 11 GW of shipments worldwide. Its HJT products have been widely adopted across China, Europe, Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia.

The successful grid connection of the Thai project further validates the reliability and adaptability of Huasun's technology under challenging climatic conditions, offering a scalable and replicable model for commercial and industrial solar applications across the region.

Looking ahead, Huasun remains steadfast in its vision of empowering solar as the true primary energy. Anchored in technological innovation, the company will continue to broaden the application scope of HJT technology across agriculture, construction, floating systems, and other diverse scenarios. In collaboration with global partners, Huasun is accelerating the global transition to clean energy—empowering more businesses in their pursuit of low-carbon transformation and contributing meaningfully to global sustainability.
